Two EHS Students Earn All-Conference

Sophomores Joe Bright & Jes Sasko earned TRAC-8 All-Conference honors last Saturday at the regular season-ending tournament at Bureau Valley.
Sasko ended the year with 28 conference toss-ups while Bright finished with 25. Fellow sophomore Matt Swanson just missed making All-Conference, finishing with 19. Other team members who tallied conference toss-ups for the year were seniors Karyssa Decker (3), Kristin Sattizahn (1), and Teresa Beiermann (1).
The Cardinals host the Illinois Masonic Regional Tournament this Saturday (Feb. 17). They face conference rival Bureau Valley at 9 a.m. The Cardinals split during the regular season against the Storm--they narrowly missed sweeping BV after losing a close match Saturday after seven tie-breaker toss-up questions--so it should be an exciting match.
The fresh-soph team will travel to Orion for a tournament Feb. 24. Varsity begins their post-season Tuesday, March 6 for regionals. The team was seeded 7th. Time & location will be announced soon.
