How does the Erie Parents' Club Help?
2005-2006 Accomplishments

1) Purchased pedometers for the Elementary School.
2) Donated half of the proceeds from the Soup Supper during Open House to a school that was hit by Hurricane Katrina.
3) Purchased library books for the Elementary and Middle schools with the sales generated by the candle fundraiser.
4) Held our annual Secret Santa shopping days for the Elementary School. Gifts from our Secret Santa event were also sent to troops and to a school hit by Hurricane Katrina.
5) Helped pay for the Elementary School Christmas field trip to see the movie, "Chicken Little."
6) Teachers, teacher aides, janitors at the Elementary School received Christmas gift baskets (filled w/candle, coffe mug, and specialty coffee).
7) The Elementary, Middle and High School principals received gift certificates for Appreciation Day.
8) Items were donated to the Middle School for the ISAT testing (DVD player, Gameboy, dart boards, etc.).
9) Web site set up for the Parents' Club was started this fall to keep parents and the community informed on Parents' Club news.
10) Two seminars were held in cooperation with the Guidance Department: MWAH! (Messages Which Are Hopeful) and Camfe Productions, "It's My Life." These were held for the Middle and High School students.
11) Teacher Appreciation Week was marked by visits from the Parents' Club volunteers bringing sub sandwiches, donuts, fruit and veggie trays as well as gifts of wrapping paper and candy jars. Teachers were also provided with massages that day.
12) Four scholarships of $500 each were once again awarded to graduating High School students.
13) The Spring Carnival was held once again with the theme "Rodeo Roundup" and included free pictures for the kids, door prizes, mechanical bull rides, raffle drawings, food and fun.
14) The Last Day of School activities were held by the Parents' Club and retirement gifts were presented to Mrs. Heim, Mrs. Olson and Turk that day.
15) Market Day ordering and deliveries were once again held each month by Parents' Club.
16) Parents' Club helped purchased bicycle helmets for the Elementary school students.
17) Parents' Club selected the Room Mothers and provided support and supplies for them.
18) Parents' Club offers pocket sized activity calendars at registration.
19) Sweatshirts with the Erie school logo on it were made available through the Parents' Club.
