Update on LunchBox Cafeteria System

Dear Parents,
This letter is to update everyone on our LunchBox Cafeteria System. This system allows money to be put in the students account. There is no limit to the amount of money you deposit in your child's account. When accounts are low, a letter will be sent home to remind you for Elementary and Middle School students. Students can deposit money in the mornings, but no cash will be accepted at lunchtime. This will make the lines move much faster throughout the district.
Each student from preschool-12 will be issued a student ID card with his or her name and ID number on the card. Elementary students will be given their cards prior to lunch everyday. After they have received their lunch, they will scan their card. At this time, the cards will be collected in a basket, and returned to the homeroom teachers to be to be used the next day.
Middle and High School students will be given their ID cards and are responsible for having them at school everyday. I would strongly recommend students leaving their cards in their lockers, so cards are not forgotten at home. These students will use their cards for purchasing their lunch and any ala carte. Money must be in their accounts to purchase any ala carte. Each student will be issued two ID cards, there will be a replacement fee for any lost cards after that.
This program should be implemented by the 27th & 28th of September. Please plan to send money for your student’s account. Any prepaid lunches prior to this system will be added to your student’s account. If you have more than one child per building, you need to only write one check and the money can be divided in each account. Parents with students in multiple buildings will still need to write separate checks for each building.
Any parents of students 5-12 wishing to set a limit on the amount of ala carte purchased or money-spent daily may contact the school and we will limit that amount on that particular account.
