Room Mothers
Hello everyone! Welcome to Parents Club and congrats on being Room Mom.
To help Market Day sales go smoother, the last few years we have utilized room mothers and it worked pretty well. So, I have designated each month with a grade to help with Market Day. This will require you as head room mom to find 2 moms from your class to help on the day of the sale. (A total of 4-6 moms for each grade level are needed.)
You will need to ask your moms to be at the school by 2:00pm on the day of the sales and they should be done by 3:45. Their children can stay at school and play on the playground. Please explain to your volunteers that what we do on the day of the sale is unload the items from the boxes, sort into categories, and pack the orders. This can be pretty fast-paced.
When it comes time for your month, you will need to have your volunteers lined up by the Sunday night before the Market Day sale. If you are running in to trouble finding volunteers, please call me and let me know. Please don't wait until the last minute.
