Players and Parents Compete at Banquet

Students and parents had the opportunity to compete against one another in a parent/player match at the end of the season Academic Bowl banquet.
The toss-ups and bonus questions were taken from questionnaires the students filled out prior to the banquet, as well as facts about the season (such as "Where did the team eat after the Wethersfield tournament?").
Many parents participated and impressed the players with their knowledge of the team; one highlight was when Patty Howard beat Joe Bright to the buzzer on a question about Joe.
Matt Armstrong beat everyone to the buzzer and answered his first toss-up, earning a round of applause from the audience.
