No Cook Recipe Fun Day

by Gina Epperly

October 06, 2008

On Friday, October 3rd, the students in Ms. Epperly's Reading class had a No Cook Recipe Fun Day.  The class read the book Freckle Juice by Judy Blume.  It is a story about a boy who wanted freckles and followed a secret recipe for getting freckles.  Each student in the class agreed to bring one ingredient to make the following items:  Pudding, Peanut Butter Quarters, Chocolate Milk, Applewiches, and Bumps on a Log.  The students worked in small groups to follow their recipe.  Each group had to make enough food for the whole class to sample.   Afterwards, they enjoyed having a class picnic!
