Ms. Windish
Spanish I--IV
The following handout contains basic information and rules for
the upcoming year. If necessary, it is subject to change. This is
also found on the school’s website.
GRADES--Your grades are based upon: homework, quizzes,
chapter tests, projects and class participation. NO EXTRA CREDIT
IS GIVEN.
School’s grading scale:
100-92 A
91-83 B
82-74 C
73-65 D
64-0 F
All Spanish I--IV students will take a comprehensive semester
exam at the end of each semester. This exam counts 20% of the
semester grade. I do not give final exams early. If you miss the
exam in December, you will have to make it up after Christmas
vacation. If you miss the exam in May, you will have to make it up
in the summer. Finals are important and so is your attendance --so
plan to be here.
LATE ASSIGNMENTS--NOT ACCEPTED. In order to get credit, you must have your work with you in class when it’s due---not at home or in your locker. Any late work will receive 0 credit. If you are absent, it’s your responsibility to find out what you missed. I post all assignments for the week outside my door for you to check. Likewise, if you miss class due to any absence, field trip or sports, you must turn in work and take any necessary quiz/test prior to going. If you do not, you will receive 0 credit. If you return to school later in the day after missing this class, you will need to check the posting to see what your homework is and turn in your work due for that day. It’s up to you to talk to me if you are in need of an extension. Failure to follow these guidelines will hurt your grade. Be responsible, please.
SEATING CHART--Please be in your assigned seat and ready
for class when the bell rings. If you are not, you are late and
will be issued a tardy.

In general, you will be given extra time at the end of class to
begin assignments and get extra help. If you need additional help,
I’m available before and after school and during periods__6__ and
_8___.
